From time to time we’re going to get it and we will no doubt at the time want to know the secrets behind how to cure a sore throat. This tutorial will go through some of the popular ways of treating a sore throat.

How To Soothe A Sore Throat

Salt Water Gargle

This is a classic way to help soothe you’re sore throat. It is a very common method in the indian sub-continent. Basically get a warm glass of water. Add 1 tsp of salt. Mix until the salt dissolves. Then begin to gargle away! Some people say actually drinking the water works more effectively but I’m not sure I’d want to swallow it!

Most people claim they feel relief in a matter of hours with this method.

Cayenne Pepper

This is another very popular method. Cayenne pepper is a successful remedy for many people. It is a spice so be prepared for some fire in you’re throat! It’s definitely worth it.

Put 1/2 tsp of Cayenne Pepper in water and mix thoroughly. Then gargle the mixture. Do this every half hour or so. You should feel relief in approximately 2 hours.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Yet another popular way to relieve you’re sore throat is with apple cider vinegar. It is rather potent so it is suggested that you mix with some honey and a little water. Use 2 tsp of applce cider vinegar, 2 tsp of honey, a small amount of lemon juice and add water to dilute. People usually find their sore throat is gone after a few hours.

Salt

Salt on it’s own has also been shown to work. Not the most popular method but hey, if it works for some it might work for you! Simply wet you’re finger, put some salt on it and place on you’re tongue. This should help soothe the sore throat in a few of hours.

Salsa

Believe it or not, grabbing a tortilla and salsa snack is good for the sore throat! Some people report that their sore throat is relieved alsmost instantly with this method. This makes sense as the salsa contains vinegar, spices and garlic which have been shown to releive sore throats.
