How To Make You’re Own Natural Exfoliator Scrub


Making you’re own natural exfoliator is easy and simple. Using just a few kitchen ingredients, you can have ready within minutes you’re own natural exfoliator. Here I’m going to talk about the different home made scrubs, their benefits and how you can make them!

Make You're Own Facial Scrub

Oatmeal Scrub
One of the most popular scrubs and when you hear the benefits you’ll realise no wonder. Oatmeal absorbs dirt and debris from the skin yet leaves it nourished and hydrated. As a result, it’s benefitted those with skin problems such as acne, dry skin and chapped skin. Here’s how to make it.

Grind down 1 tablespoon of oatmeal. Add a pinch of salt. We then need to make it into a paste so just add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and mix. If I’m out of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of water works just as well!

Baking Soda Scrub
Yet another incredibly popular scrub, most likely due to it’s success with people suffering from acne. It’s also one of the easiest to make as it’s already in the perfect fine form.

With 2 tablespoons of baking soda, add 3 tablespoons of water and mix until you have a thick paste. Add a little more water if it doesn’t become pasty enough!

Rose Almond Scrub
Known for it’s ability to brighten and soften the skin. This one needs the not so common contents found in the kitchen.

You need 1 teaspoon of rosewater, 1/4 teaspoon of almond flour. Mix together to make a paste. Alternatively to almond flour you can use finely ground almonds.

Honey Sugar Scrub
This scrub is excellent for those with sensitive skin, especially those with eczema or psoriasis. Sugar serves as a good natural exfoliator and the honey has antimicrobial and anti-oxidant properties.

1/2 a teaspoon of sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon of honey makes the paste for this one. The sugar can be granulated, cane or brown.

Azuki Bean Scrub
A scrub well known for it’s ability to clear blackheads from the skin. This scrub is also incredibly effective for oily skin types.

Grind down 1/4 cup of Azuki beans. Then mix with a little water to make the paste.
